The following is an introduction to the AquilonWeb
Access Agreement which governs the use of the Aquilon's AquilonWeb
Internet Service. Please read all the terms, conditions, and agreements
on this and following pages carefully.
Who provides AquilonWeb
service?
AquilonWeb Internet service is offered by Aquilon.
Aquilon is the trade name and trade mark of Aquilon, a fully independent
investment boutique specializing in Private Client Portfolio Management
for individuals, families, corporations and trusts.
Where is AquilonWeb service
available?
The Internet is a worldwide communications
medium and can be accessed by users around the globe. However, Aquilon's
AquilonWeb service is restricted to residents of Canada. AquilonWeb service
is not intended to solicit orders or offer products or services except
in those jurisdictions where Aquilon is authorized to do so.
Who owns copyright to the
material found in the AquilonWeb pages?
Aquilon owns copyright to all text, graphics,
and multimedia content in the AquilonWeb pages of this World Wide Web
site. No material may be reproduced in any medium or any location, without
the express written permission of Aquilon
Who owns trademarks found
in the AquilonWeb pages?
Unless otherwise indicated, all trademarks
found in the AquilonWeb pages are trademarks of Aquilon. Microsoft Windows
and Windows 95 are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation in the USA and
other countries.
What claims does Aquilon
make about the reliability of AquilonWeb?
Aquilon will make every reasonable effort to
provide uninterrupted AquilonWeb service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,
365 days a year -- but cannot guarantee that AquilonWeb service will
be available at all times. In most cases, if an AquilonWeb service function
is unavailable, customers will receive on-screen notification of the
temporary unavailability of the service. If you have problems getting
connected to AquilonWeb, your broker will be available as an alternative.
Before actually conducting transactions Aquilon
will provide the customer with the ability to confirm the details of
the transaction. Upon on-screen confirmation by the customer, Aquilon
will provide on-screen verification of receipt of the transaction instructions.
For which aspects of security
is Aquilon responsible?
Aquilon is wholly responsible for protection
of customers' personal and financial information within the server that
houses the AquilonWeb service. The server is owned, operated, and maintained
by Aquilon, which is thus wholly responsible for the secure transmission of
data between the AquilonWeb server and the AquilonWeb customer's personal
computer.
For which aspects of security
is the AquilonWeb customer responsible?
Besides the "Protection of Electronic
Signature" and the "General" sections of the Access Terms
and Conditions, please observe these further precautions to avoid unauthorized
access to your personal or financial information:
Does Aquilon warrant the
security of AquilonWeb E-mail service?
No. Until such time as Aquilon is satisfied
with the security of Internet E-mail, Aquilon will not accept transactions/instructions
by Internet E-mail messages, however general product or service questions
or inquiries will be welcome. AquilonWeb customers are expressly discouraged
from sending confidential or personal information via Internet E-mail
messages; AquilonWeb customers who choose to send Internet E-mail messages
to Aquilon that contain personal or confidential information do so entirely
at their own risk.
Until such time as Aquilon is satisfied with the
security of Internet E-mail, it will not transmit confidential personal
or confidential financial information to AquilonWeb customers via Internet
E-mail.
With which terms, conditions
and agreements must AquilonWeb customers agree to abide, in order to
use AquilonWeb?
Users must read and agree to the AquilonWeb
Access Agreement before they login to AquilonWeb.
