About
AquilonWeb Session Cookie
About Session Cookie The session cookie is generated automatically by the Web Server
when the logon page is retrieved and is stored for the duration of the
session. This ensures that the information requested returns only to
the browser that has logged in. The session cookie is only valid until
you either close your browser, you choose to logoff AquilonWeb, or your
session on the Web Server times out. Currently, most browsers do not
distinguish between session cookies and permanent cookies, so "cookies" must
be on or accepted for AquilonWeb to operate.
If you are concerned about having your browser enabled to accept cookies
and the implications that may result while you are surfing other Web
sites, we suggest you enable your browser to prompt you when it is receiving
a cookie. This way you have the ability to accept or reject any cookie
that you may or may not want. If you are using Internet Explorer 5.0,
you can tell the browser to disable cookies stored to your hard drive,
either automatically accept or be prompted to accept session cookies
(found under Tools, Internet Options, Security tab, Custom Level).
